The big mystery of a little virus
Tumor is traumatic; but the strength required to face the struggle only comes from a free-spirited sufferer.
Meet 14 year old Rohit (name changed upon
request), an intelligent young lad whose spirit and enthusiasm will leave you
speechless. It was about 5 years back, that this book-worm had just appeared
for his final exams and was just as excited to go and visit his grandparents,
with the urge to spend the rest of the summers with them.
But life had
other plans for this happy-go-lucky enthusiast. Misfortune had dawned upon him
& his parents as he fell prey to an evil brain tumor. "We were
shattered when Rohit was diagnosed with a brain tumor"- said his parents
who have been working relentlessly since then, to make ends meet.
His mom says, Rohit (name
changed upon request) has always enjoyed the company of his extended family but
during this hour of need, they were left abandoned.
It was not just family but
also other medical institutions that shut their doors on Rohit, refusing to
treat him. It was at this critical juncture that BMCHRC came to his
rescue. With promising treatment, exceptional facilities and care provided by
the hospital, gave Rohit & his parents more reasons to believe in his
recovery than merely 'hope' for the best.
Rohit's will power will leave you amazed.
Despite the relapse of his tumour, he is just counting days before he can head
back to school and resume his education. His courage and composed nature keep
him collected. He takes his illness in his own stride convincing himself &
his parents of his best days that are yet to come.
