TWO YEAR OLD BOY SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THOSE WHO ARE FIGHTING AGAINST CANCER Javed Ali, a two-year-old, is a real fighter, who, along with his father Mohammad Zakir has set an example for all those who are fighting against this life threatening disease cancer. Javed while still learning to walk, started encountering health issues like regular fever, bleeding from teeth and mouth, red blotches on skin and more. Zakir who is just a poor laborer took his son to Lucknow Hospital for treatment. Few investigations were conducted and Javed was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a type of blood cancer. Zakir’s financial condition was not good enough to get his son treated so he borrowed some funds from his relative & friends and went to AIIMS hospital in Delhi. It was when Zakir was struggling to manage the funds for living and getting his son treated in an expensive city like Delhi, somebody told him about Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Jaipur.

This strong contingent of 80 members is relentlessly engaged in selfless service to help and support Cancer Patients effectually looking into minimizing the patients’ anxiety and also provide financial aid to the underprivileged. FREEDOM FROM CANCER 167 Persons are Cancer Free & Leading a Normal Life under this Project.  Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre's Welfare Initiatives FREEDOM FROM CANCER offers free treatment for the patients suffering from Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) Blood Cancer. Under the format the patient being diagnosed of CML-CP by RQ-PCR for BCR-ABL – Test will be registered for free Imatinib therapy as per the approved protocol and will be given free supply (2 to 3 months at a time) of Imatinib (up to 5 years) & free routine tests. This Project Started in August 2015. Till March, 2020. 234 patients have been registered under the project and 167 are receiving free treatment (worth Rs 92,59,260/-).  All these patients are cancer free and leading a normal life.

DONATE A LIFE : 106 CHILDREN ARE CANCER FREE.   With an objective of gifting a complete happy life with holistic health and wellness, this programme has been initiated by Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre to extend free treatment for the treatable blood cancers [Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Low Risk (ALL), Acute Promylocytic Leukemia (APML), Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (HL)] in the children aged between 1 and 14. This project started in August 2014 & anticipated expenditure per patient is Rs 5 lacs. 155 Children received free treatment including medicines  (worth Rs 4,48,26,774/-) till March, 2020.   Now 115 children are receiving treatment and of which 106 are Cancer Free. 

DREAMZ FOUNDATION - A KGK INITIATIVE There can’t be anything more noble than fulfilling one wish of a child cancer patient raising joy and boosting moral, strength and most imperatively hope and will to win over cancer. Keeping the above cause in mind Dreamz foundation came into existence on the 24th March 2010 to fulfill one true wish of children aging between 1 & 18 getting treated at Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre. So far more than 3500 cancer afflicted childrens’ wishes have been fulfilled adding to their optimism. While undergoing endless rounds of painful treatment and medication, a wish fulfillment gives back what the ailment takes away from the child i.e. hope, strength and smile. Wish fulfillment imbibes confidence in child patients and makes them believe that nothing is impossible.
