Risk Factors and Symptoms of Head & Neck Cancer
Any growth or lump or tumor
in body is either Benign or Malignant. Benign tumors usually remain localized,
and do not spread to other parts of body. Malignant tumors are called “Cancer”.
Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal proliferation of cells, in an
uncontrolled fashion, with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of
body.

- Industrial chemicals – Nickel, asbestos, sulfuric acid mist, wood dust, etc
Head and
neck cancer symptoms
Some common head and neck cancer symptoms include:
- A lump in the nose, neck or throat, with or without pain
- Unhealing ulcer
- A persistent sore throat
- Trouble swallowing (dysphagia)
- Unexplained weight loss
- Frequent coughing
- Change in voice or hoarseness
- Ear pain or trouble hearing
- Headaches
- Bad breath that's unexplained by hygiene
- Nasal obstruction or persistent congestion
- Frequent nose bleeds or unusual discharge
- Trouble breathing
Subtypes:-
Neck Cancer includes Nasopharynx, Oropharynx, Laryngopharynx and
Hypopharynx cancers, with or without chemotherapy.
